Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the Methodological Construction of Professors teaching elective courses at a private university in Bogota. The research was qualitative with a descriptive-interpretive focus. We examined what professors do when structuring their classes in Practice Teaching by means of a questionnaire with open-ended questions designed and validated for this research. There were 13 university professors participating. To analyze the results, a matrix was designed with the dimensions in methodological constructions to be explored. It was found that the professors centered their methodological construction around the student without neglecting the content and context in which their teaching practice is immersed. Institutionalizing space for reflection and reinforcing formation in university teaching were proposed as teaching guidelines.
