Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of a neuropsychological intervention program (INI), which deals with processes such as orientation, attention, memory, executive functions and awareness of cognitive deficits present in a person of 70 years institutionalized in a Bogota geriatric home, diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment of amnestic type. Neuropsychological assessment was performed prior to treatment, then intervention program was developed and a posttest assessment. We found an improvement and a sustained performance in the post-tests, with a statistically significant pretest postest.
