Abstract

This article describes an exploratory study conducted by the research group of the Competencia Humana enterprise, whose aim was to develop an approach to the concept of honesty in the workplace. The methodology used was that of theoretical review and consultation of web sites of different companies. First presents the theoretical framework that contextualizes the research topic and previous research associated with dishonest conduct in the workplace; second includes 45 enterprises with definition published of honesty, to assess the common elements in these and based them perform a conceptual definition. Finally, it discusses and concludes the importance of continuing the investigations and the need to develop tools to assess the honesty in work contexts.
