Abstract

The evaluation of job performance enables organizations to know how its members carry out their duties, which affects their competitiveness. The objective was to validate the instrument of evaluation job performance (EVADEST) adapted from Hodgetts and Altman (1993). Participants were 187 industrial workers in Guadalajara, Mexico. Items: knowledge of work, quality of work, responsibility, productivity, ability and skill and attitude to company. Test results: Cronbach's Alpha:. 911; factorial analysis, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin: .848; sphericity of Bartlett, at the level of significance of. 000.; internal correlation, Spearman rho, all data with significance level of. 000, bilateral p ≤ 0.01. It was concluded that the EVADEST was reliable and valid to evaluate job performance.
