Abstract

Questionnaire Practical Parenting is a tool of psychometric assessment, resulting in a profile of parenting practices that exert parents and caregivers with their children, this test is created by Aguirre (2010). Is a questionnaire easy to apply, assesses two dimensions of parenting: Emotional support and behavioral regulation in areas such as care practices, expression of affection, positive guidance and involvement, technical awareness and induction techniques. Construct validation, objective investigation conducted, was done with the application of the test to a population of 354 parents of school children and girls of the city of Bogotá. The rotated factor analysis of the subscales throw their scores are actually grouped into two factors, these two dimensions constitute the test purports to measure, emotional support and behavioral regulation. These results advance the recognition of the research using this tool, so that constitutes a coherent and methodologically appropriate instrument in this field.
