Abstract

This research aimed to determine the relationship between multidimensional perfectionism and exercise dependence in male population, with a sample of 56 participants from three centers exercise of the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Dependence the revised budget (EDS-R) and multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (MPS) Scale was applied. A correlation analysis was performed, a positive relationship between perfectionism dimension in their socially prescribed with exercise dependence (r = .32 p = .015) was found. The results show that people who meet the expectations of others to not reach the negative evaluated are likely to develop dependence on exercise.
