Satisfaction with life and resilience in young people in school age
Satisfacción con la vida y resiliencia en jóvenes en extraedad escolar

This article presents the socio-demographic characteristics, levels of satisfaction with life and the resilience components of a group of school over-aged pupils. descriptive, non-probabilistic sample made up of 40 young people - An exploratory-descriptive study was conducted, with a non-probabilistic sample conformed by 40 youngsters. The RS 25Resilience Scale, the Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS) and a questionnaire were used. The data showed the desire, in young people, to continue their studies in order to access other levels of education and to increase their income; Other characteristics found were: the affiliation to the family of origin, single motherhood and low income. On the SWLS scale, young people perceived themselves between slightly satisfied and satisfied; the sample also scored a significant level of resiliency with a total of 143.5. It is expected that this information facilitates the generation of strategies and intervention processes aimed at this population group.
