Abstract

This study aimed to identify, analyze and describe how suggestions for future studies of articles that investigated parental stress for this, an Integrative Literature Review (RIL) was used in the CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Medline, PsycInfo and Web of Science. The database of the present review consists of 41 studies that were organized considering two major dimensions: general characteristics and suggestions for future research. Note that the largest number of publications were carried out on the European continent and between the years 2014 and 2019. Suggestions for future research they were categorized into: methodological suggestions and suggestions on other variables to investigate. It is observed that, according to the most necessary composition, they were in relation to the size and sample and the performance of studies involving the intervention. Like all other planning projects, they can look to other groups of parents in planning, but they also have possibilities for general actions that aim to promote the stress experienced by this population. This RIL can contribute to new research on parents of designed studies, as it can be carried out from the new suggestions that can contribute to the form of designed studies
