Abstract
The objective of the present is to identify the main conceptions that students, teachers and graduates, from a psychology faculty of a private university in Bogotá, have regarding the training in ‘university social responsibility’. By means of a case study, a qualitative research was carried out in which different instruments and techniques such as interviews, focus groups and opinion polls, were applied. Such application allowed to identify that the Psychology faculty promotes among its students the critical reflection about their environment and about the need to generate intervention processes. Additionally, a tension between students’ and teachers’ conceptions regarding the academic curriculum was found since, according to the obtained results, none of the participants have a clear conception about ‘university social responsibility’, which shows a misalignment between the substantive functions or roles of the university and what the actors of the educational process think.
