Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify the level of social abilities of the students that enter to first semester of Psychology program. After that, the effect of an intervention plan will be determined. Taking into account the importance for the individual and professional development, the question was formulated in these terms: Which is the level of the social abilities in students that enter to the Psychology Program? A descriptive study with 128 university students of different sex selected intentionally was organized, and the Questionnaire of Interpersonal Difficulties (CDI) was applied. Main results indicate that women obtain better performance when it is a matter of doing and rejecting petitions, and interacting with friends and mates; men do it well upon interacting with people that attract; older people have better interaction with unknown people and with people that attract and those of ages between 19 and 20 years interact better with friends and mates. The sample in general, needs to improve in its family relations.
