Abstract

In the investigation on the development of the social competence in the children there is a reduced number of instruments in spanish that fulfill the basic requirements of trustworthiness validity. The main intention of the present article was to establish the psychometric properties of a scale that allows evaluating the social competition of the children of the 3 to the 6 years in 5 scopes: prosocial direction (OP), Automatic control (AU), Social initiative (IS), Assertive abilities (Hi) and abilities of interacción (HA). The results show indices of internal consistency and a congruent factorial structure with the results obtained by the author of the instrument. The results indicate that the scale fulfills the trustworthiness criteria, validity of content and validity of construct with which they constit.
