Mental disability and mental weakness. Contributions from psychoanalysis.
Discapacidad mental y debilidad mental. Aportes desde el psicoanálisis.
Main Article Content
We propose to articulate the four discourses of Jacques Lacan with the actual situation of the mental disabled people, who go to therapeutic institutions exclusives for their treatment. As we present as one objective the rehabilitation to favour the social integration, in those places we observe mostly chronicity of treatment and production of dependence more than autonomy. So, we work with the connection between the theory of discourses of Lacan and three principal aspects of this problem: the way in which these places are constituted nowadays; the function of the psychologist; and the subjective positions that these discourses promote. We affirm the hypothesis that the actual conformation is done from the discourse of the university student, and the place of the professional is assigned by the discourse of the master, which favours in disability peopled a subjective position of mental debility that makes it difficult to assume as ours those activities, which could sustain independently of the election done. Finally, we propose some possible lineaments for the position of the analyst in these places, so that we can direct processes of subjectivity more favourable than the ones used nowadays.
