Abstract

This study aimed to design, build and validate a test that measures motivation to work in companies in the city of Bogotá, realizing levels of validity and confiability. For this reason the test -ML- is built using a methodological investigation. The test possess a validation of content for expert judges of 94 % and a confiability of 92 %, in addition to 11 scales that were constructed from the 385 workers to whom was apply the test in the last phase. This instrument has 59 items divided into 2 big Variables: Intrinsic Motivation with a total of 43 items, divided into 4 sub-variables: power (11 items), Achievement (13 items), Affiliation-Intimity (9 items), and Progress-growth (10 items), and the variable Auto-competition with a total of 16 items, divided into two sub-variables: Persistent (8 items) and situational (8 items).
