Tendências na investigação sobre autorregulação na primeira infância: uma revisão sistemática no período 2015-2022

A autorregulação é um aspeto central do funcionamento humano que facilita a prossecução bem sucedida de objectivos pessoais. A sua importância nos primeiros anos de vida tem sido demonstrada através de uma extensa investigação que abrange diversos domínios. Este estudo tem como objetivo estabelecer o estado atual da investigação sobre a autorregulação na infância, com base nas tendências teóricas e metodológicas evidenciadas na produção científica recente. A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada na base de dados SCOPUS, incluindo artigos empíricos com revisão por pares, escritos em inglês e publicados entre 2015 e 2022 em revistas com classificação ISI, sobre a capacidade de autorregulação de crianças de 1 a 5 anos. Para a análise da produção científica, foram utilizadas as ferramentas bibliometrix (software R) e Gephi versão 0.10.1. As principais tendências de investigação identificadas centram-se no estudo de diferentes formas de autorregulação com base em múltiplos indicadores, no papel dos fatores contextuais no desenvolvimento da autorregulação e na utilização de metodologias mistas para o seu estudo. Conclui-se com os contributos de investigações recentes que salientam a importância da infância como período crítico no desenvolvimento da autorregulação e discute-se os desafios conceptuais e metodológicos que se colocam a este campo de investigação.
