GUIDELINES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THEMATIC ISSUES
Committed to showcasing the methodological and epistemological diversity inherent to the discipline, while also disseminating key advancements in specific fields within the discipline, the RIP regularly publishes thematic issues on topics of interest. Therefore, authors, researchers, and editors are invited to submit proposals for the development of Thematic Issues.
Interested individuals wishing to serve as Associate Theme Editors for the issue should send a letter to the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal detailing the specific theme of the monograph, a brief description of the intended goals of the publication, and a proposal outlining dates for proposal submission and publication, taking into account the journal's declared periodicity. The journal's editorial committee will evaluate the social and scientific relevance of the proposal and may provide suggestions and recommendations as needed.
Once the proposal is approved, the Theme Editors will design a Call for Papers (CFP) in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. This CFP will include a brief introduction to the monograph, specific thematic lines for paper submission, information on deadlines, and general instructions for authors.
The Theme Editors will participate in editorial decision-making sessions alongside the Journal's Editorial Board, collaboratively selecting the most highly regarded manuscripts to compose the monograph. Additionally, they will actively promote the CFP through their contact lists, blogs, websites, repositories, scientific social networks, professional associations, and specialty conferences during the open submission period.
Finally, the Theme Editors commit to writing an introductory editorial note for the issue. This note will provide commentary on the published works, offer reflections related to the monograph's theme, and provide readers with an overview of its contents.
