Abstract
The main objective of this article is to make a historic-critical reflection about the concept of organizational reality that is used by psychologists of the organizations at the time they realize not only their descriptions, analysis and interpretations of that reality but when they do psychosocial interventions also. Special emphasis is given in the analysis of the effects produced on the actions of social subjects: the epistemological, methodological and theoretical assumptions in which psychologists are based to do their professional practice. To achieve the proposed objective, initially, a historical revision about the concept of organization is done. Then, is introduced the concept of reality and its effects on the ways of represent or imagine the organizations. Subsequently, is attempted to define the field of psychology of organizations. It concludes with the exposition of the most outstanding features of critical perspectives in social psychology and their impact on the ways of making organizational psychology currently.
